SAY WHAT? Who the hell is SASHA GREY-ADULT PORN STA-H??(NSFW)

8 07 2008

Oh, I’ve heard so much about this girl-she’s still in her teens right?

Well she’s like taken over from Jameson as the number female porn star in the straight porn world BUT she’s also really down and hip with the cool media crowd you see. Vice magazine for a while have done anything and everything about her-ROCK ON! And the girl also appeared on TYRA’s show!

So what’s a biggie about another pretty girl who likes to fuck and knows how to taste cum for the camera’s? I mean Madonna’s been doing it for ages!!?

But from what I gather dudes-it’s the fact that unlike all other porn stars who have a sob heart wrenching story about why they are in porn-Sash doesn’t. She just felt like it. She’s also really bright, opinionated and doesn’t see herself as a second class citizen cause she likes to fuck on camera and get paid!

Is she a feminist icon? Maybe-I think she kinda is if I’m honest. She talks a helluva lot more about female causes then say Beyonce-who is always half naked and gyrating on stage sexually or say Kate Moss-who’s never with out her legs open or her top off.

Both these SUPAH-STARZ, Beyonce and Kate Moss, are constantly fawned upon in media female and male as if they are gods and we should worship them-wishing to dress, look, be and FEEL like them. If we dare to think these creatures are just mere mortals, we are socially subjected to bewildered stares and quickly shunned from pub topics alike amongst friends.

You’d think with all this money/success that they have both made from expertly manipulating the media with ok-ay talent-both used the trusted formula of sexuality within ever guise to sell their products, that they would maybe give a little shout out to all those sycophantic and easily led female fans who brought into their ‘sexiness’?

But no.

They leave it to ladiez like Sasha Grey to stick up for those born with breasts and hole between their legs. So are we giving it up for the Grey?

Take this that she says to Eroszine…..I LOVE this girl! When she says this…

“You see that in TV or in commercials all the time. In everything – in all forms of advertisement, there’s some form of sexuality. There’s always a perfect body, even though the woman on the magazine is always airbrushed. I have a little sister who looks at that kind of stuff and she feels fat. And I feel bad, and I’m like, “You’re beautiful…”

Everybody has their flaws and I think it’s sad, you know? They criticize porn stars and the porn industry as a whole, but they’re doing it as well. We’re just doing it up front. We’re not lying about it. We’re telling you up front — we’re fucking. We’re making passionate movies. We’re making smut. We’re making porn. And that’s all it is. We’re not out there to put a mask on and say, “Okay, you need to buy this or that.” You just buy the movie and that’s it.”

FYI: I hate straight porn-with a passion. It was never made for women-heck no porn is but at least Gay porn is HOTT!

P.S: And I’d like to add that she’s 100 million times more sexy then Beyonce or Madonna!!

Your blog about Sasha Grey is deeply disturbing. It seems that you have no critical analysis att all on the things Sasha Grey stands for and how she promotes degrading, dehuminising porn.
Ms Marina Ann Hantzis (Sasha Grey) is actually very dangerous in her own way! This is because she`s young, she looks good, she earns much money and she is also publicly well known even outside the porn industry. This makes her a role model for others. That unfortunately also means she will lure other young girls into the destructive lifestyle of the porn industry.

If someone doesn´t know what she is actually is doing in her films I can tell you just a couple of examples: she swallows the bodily fluids from 15 men at the same time, she drinks urine(!) nd enemas, she let men put their organs in her mouth so she gags and throws up, she let herself be beaten, choked and whipped That is just some of the gross things this girl does.

All the things that are seen in her films teaches young men that it´s okey to slap around women, to rape them and to use them as some kind of human toilets, some of her scenes just shows her on the floor in toilet rooms.

One can also address issues about health in this case: statistics show a clear overrepresentation of STD´s among people working in the sex industry. Also HIV are overrepresented. And of top of that there is drugs and suicide, also these are more common (by percent) than in the normal population.

This means that Sacha Grey, and other people in the porn industry, are risking their life and health, and not only their own, also other peoples life and health are at stake because of the risk that the STD:s will spread.

I think one day, when she is ill (maybe in AIDS), on drugs and suffering from emotional and mental problems, noone will anymore se here as some kind of symbol for freedom and sexual liberation.

And to those who advocate young girls right to do what they want, what would you think if it was your own daughter, or sister, who was out there, destroying herself by doing utterly disgusting and degrading things for everyone to see on film? Would you be as liberal towards the sex industry then?

Um ya. Your fucked. I watch her all the time. I dont want to go out and hit or rape women. What are you talking about? And women have the right to do what they want. Its her INDIVIDUAL freedom. You gota problem with Individual freedoms, then I feel sorry for you.

You made a solid point until you started judging Grey for her sexual preferences when have sex. You’re argument is laced with an ulterior motive, so unfortunately comes across as too biased and too black and white. I agree with the sentiment of the piece-the author is stating she likes Grey purely because she brings out the hypocrisy within women in the entertainment world-that’s all.

Again I agree that at least porn stars call a ‘spade a spade’. Porn will NEVER go. It’s life and part of human need to me sexual.

Again, the artcle was comparing stars we idolise like Madonna and Kate Moss, who behave in such a way as Sasha but are used as role models. No one thinks a porn star is a bloody role model.

You should save your venom for people in popular culture who make money off us by putting women back 500 steps, like Kate Moss, Lily Allen etc.

Sasah Grey knows people are looking down at her, she has no preconceptions but at least she’s honest? She’s an attention seeking slut. Surely you must respect that more then someone like Lindsey Lohan or Britney who purposely go around wearing no knickers or female stars who run to get pregnant as soon as they can to play the stepford wife?

She supposedly lacked a father growing up.

Perhaps that has something to do with the frigid, distant, almost vacant look in her eyes.

She already has an STD.

She is very immature right now, but eventually, the truth will hit her. She will learn that money leaves you faster than it arrives, material objects depreciate, but you’re always left with your soul, your thoughts, your emotions. You can only run so far.

Sasha Grey definitely pushes the envelope, but she’s a consenting adult, and so are all the other porn performers with her. I think she’s a brave individual, but I also think she does need to pace herself while working in the industry. She’s in high demand and working too much, not so much for the money, but for the fans.

The porn industry needs to implement more self-regulation, that’s all. Better health-care, an increased use of condoms, as well as a restriction on outside escorting, and the restriction of cross-over performers who jump back-and-forth from gay to straight porn.

That I agree with but the rest…..jeez, it’s up to the individual…no?

Anyway, who’s Sasha hurting? She’s calling a spade, a spade-she’s a whore…but what about Britney, Paris Hilton, Posh Spice who BLEED society dry by pretending to people they aren’t…??

Sasha Grey hurts many people because she promotes the lie that porn is like any other job. But it´s not. Porn is a business where young women (sometimes children) are used, abused and degraded just for the pleasure of men who cannot have a normal sex life because they lack the social skill (and respect) to get in a real relationship with a real woman.

Sasha Grey also promotes dangerous behaviour as having unprotected sex with a lot of different partners (often total strangers). Once when she was asked what she would do if she got and STD she just answered “then I would share it with my boyfriend”, an extremely irresponible answer on the fringes of lunacy.

Okay… who the hell do you think you are
“… used, abused, and degraded just for the pleasure of men who cannot have a normal sex life…”
Bullshit.^

I ENJOY Sasha, and most of the Porn Industry, and my girlfriend and I probably have a better sex life than you could hope for. And besides, its not right to criticize somebody because of their profession. That would be like criticizing the president being where he is. (Though he shouldn’t be.)

Without the porn industry, our economy would also suffer. National spending would be down even further. The porn industry may be a dirty place, but somebody has to do the job.

“The porn industry needs to implement more self-regulation, that’s all. Better health-care, an increased use of condoms”

Grey’s actually been talking about this and other human rights issues since her start in the business. She wants to unionize and has been in talks with other industry stars to do so for some time now.

If someone doesn´t know what she is actually is doing in her films I can tell you just a couple of examples: she swallows the bodily fluids from 15 men at the same time, she drinks urine(!) nd enemas, she let men put their organs in her mouth so she gags and throws up, she let herself be beaten, choked and whipped

I would argue that Grey isn’t hurting anyone, even herself, by participating in these behaviors. In fact, I think that she’s benefiting both the viewers and the industry by making films with this stuff in them because, unlike many actors in the industry, she actually enjoys this stuff and practices it in her personal life as well, and goes to great lengths to talk about her BDSM “lifestyle” in both the adult and mainstream presses. It’s also apparent from nearly all of her work that she enjoys it–another thing that, in my opinion, is lacking in a LOT of extreme adult films nowadays.

So, by practicing what she preaches, she’s been increasing the sexual literacy of the average viewer. That viewer will no longer assume that their partner will want to partake in extreme sexual behaviors; they’ll expect communication with their partner, instead. They’ll expect to hear a lot of the things that Grey says (“Slap me!,” “Choke me,” etc) before doing the things that Grey has done to her. Awareness of consent and negotiation will only be increased by watching Grey’s work, in my opinion.

Oh, & who cares if Grey does like to do all of the “gross” things that you’ve outlined? It’s long been the practice of some BDSM enthusiasts to dominate others by making them do things like lick toilets, etc. Do we have the right to tell them what to/not do? No. We let them do what they want, because it’s not hurting anyone. We should do the same with Grey and other performers, because it’s not hurting anyone and you don’t have to watch.

By the way, it’s astonishing to me how easily everyone falls back on the MacDworkin arguments against pornography whenever they get the chance.

Porn hasn’t been proven to have negative affect on men’s sexual views towards or treatment of women–even violent pornography. Read Defending Pornography or The Porning of America if you need further proof.

And yes, while many performers in the adult industry aren’t as self-actualized or privileged as Grey, who made a choice to enter the industry that was pretty much independent of economic factors, etc, there are, always have been, and will continue to be both women and men who do enter the industry simply because they want to.

The sooner we deal with that fact and stop hurling insults, the sooner all performers in the industry will be able to overcome the stigmatization that dehumanizes them and, perhaps, be able to gain enough clout that they can organize for healthcare, better working conditions, and job content that isn’t quite so narsty.

Sasha Grey is just a prostitute with megalomania. Her disgusting porn propaganda is seen all over the net, risking to lure other young girls into more perverted kinds of porn and prostitution. Her propaganda ought to be banned from the internet.

The best is to ban the whole porn industry, such a law would save literally thousands of young women from being humiliated, destroyed, abused and to become mentally ill and contracting STD:s and nasty infections.

I know Erma is all about anti porn propaganda, but I’ve been a female consumer of all sort of porn (and I’m bi) for years now. At first, I LOVED Sasha’s porn…it straddled (pun) the division between BDSM/Straight/Gay/Water Sports, etc.

However, the more I watch, the more disturbed I am. I don’t know what this girl’s personal background is, but a pioneer? No. She is riding the wave of derisive, degrading porn. I have YET to see her in one SINGLE clip where she is 1) in control; or 2) made to come 3) in a respectful situation.

I definitely like the edge, but I am 38 and realize that far too many men want just one thing, whatever gets them hard and orgasmed fastest with the least amount of work or investment on their part. I dated a guy who took his cues on oral sex from people like Sasha..I won’t go in to detail. Sasha Grey strikes me as somebody who knows this at a young age (should I feel sorry she knows this so young?), has the nubile body most men well into their 60’s covet. I do think her porn is standard setting, however, I’m not sure it’s a standard that is doing today’s teens, my daughter included, any good.

I used to be so pro-porn, but I never see porn that intrigues me anymore, it’s always the same old stick it in (pick an orifice), ride it rough until you come, then we MUST simply MUST have the facial or the cream pie, yawn, I’m sorry, it’s boring. What a long way we’ve come, indeed, as sexually liberated women. When Sasha Grey becomes THE director for women-centric (including the all focus on the female orgasm and perspective, let the men play the role we’ve seen women do for years)….let me know. Then she will be truly groundbreaking. Until then, she is a savvy little chick who knows that what she’s got and cultivated to date is what’s “du jour”. Until then, Cha-ching, Sasha dear. She’s laughing all the way to the bank on mens’ simplicity.

Out of intrigue i’ve casually watched afew of the icon’s vides and my general porn experience aswell (even as a young dude just old enough to drink) is similar to that of “Heather” above only inversed.

Now, i’m take in everything with a benefit-of-the-doubt type open mind and in personality am not the type of guy who’d without mind internalize society’s attitudes and ideals as my own thoughts. And my tastes are often unique (in all sorts of things) so this may not necissarily be the average dude’s opinion.

Sasha’s porn

The first time i tried watching a few of her scenes they fell totally limp for me (pun) and grossed me out, another time a different performance sort of rubbed me a good way (though i thought it could have done without some of the content), and since the third and final occassion i’m pretty sure her porn turns me off – not saying it’s wrong or anything (though i don’t agree with what i hear about someone licking toilet seats) i just guess what i’ve seen of BDSM so far does nothing for me, especially the more extreme stuff which can do the reverse even if my mood and her look are at their most tantalising the extreme stuff manages to turn me off and is at times sickening (even if not necissarily in a nasteee way such as in toilet licking.

As an “attractive”, but socially and politically sensitive black kid (for whom, some of the few arenas in which he is “Monk” overly-sensitive have shifted from the scientific and interpersonal realms to the social one) one of the first things i noticed in my couple years now of the world of porn is how the industry takes cliches, stereotypes, historic attitudes, roles and things of that nature and run with them. And though i found stuff like that could work for me the thought of “norms” being what perpetually turned people on slightly disturbed me.

I’ve since discovered they’re not what turn me on, cliche’s by definition are boring, it was the “wild”, taboo deviant nature of whatever was happening that turned me on — and the normal kindof accentuated the not-normal, ma brain was like “ok, right and .. whoa definitely not supposed to happen, definitely impolite to be ‘politically correct'”. I’ve now cum to realise what really seems to turn my psyche is anything de-synch (different or special) — and, it might be hard to get and i’m just thinking of this now but things cliche seem to work within the framework of that which is designated in my brain as being set apart as an especially “slutty” situation i (transforming into slut) am sharing with another, an adult she-slut: in the fantasy scenario, “the time is right” for sexy time).

Lastly, One movie that inspired me though (in a life sense) was this old film out of a bunch this place was trying to get rid of about a hospital in which a black lead played the role of some Doctor. His Professional and yet totally non-chalant in a “kosher” (accepted, cool or right) and friendly type of way totally amazed me even though it was a film. I hadn’t watched any material for a while (just a few months) and was sortof in as much of a hiatus as i could afford (which was nil really) from the business of the world and one morning i randomly decided to pop in the movie. I guess it was relevant to my life because at the time, about a year ago, i was in a giant rut affecting other aspects of my life which i’ve majorly come quite a ways out of, seemingly permanent panicy social anxiety i’d just found out i had that stemmed in part from thoughts about others’ thoughts about me or sometimes my thoughts (yeah, i now know, sort of like Jean from X men) and in part from changes (some of them bad) from my habitually fairly “solo” and but balanced and well-rounded lifestyle becoming totally unbalanced as far as things like study (times ten) and work increased and what socializing i had, fun, and excersize took big dives and my nervous system exhausted when i “compensated” by feeding my learning-addiction in special-interest (africa history and politics) extreme researching/foruming with a casual crowd of folks (many happened to be fellow software people) i identified with and found i finally didn’t have to self-compromise to mix with. Before becoming informationally addicted, it was gaming, but i’m learning it was all a substitute for other things. Speaking of which, and in the context of knowing porn can also be bad, this is for another discussion but porn seems like it could be bad for a nation already apparently full of nervous people, especially as a potential indulgence to place in place of a neglected or avoided area of life, especially since sexual, masturbatory, and any other addictions can cause anxiety. Right now i’m just trying to become addicted to life being in motion, so, though i’ve soaked in quite a bit, i’m ok with not being as aquainted as say a middle-aged male connoisseur.

The current porn available on the I-net has become disturbing and I’m afraid of the person who actually enjoys this stuff. It’s all mysogynist in nature. It’s all about rough, hard, painful sex, where the woman is just a pleasure “hole” for the man. How is this liberating? How is it liberating to be beaten or have someone take a crap on you? But hey, whatever floats your boat. But here is where it DOES affect me and many other unsuspecting people. This garbage is so easily accessible on the net, that a lot of men now consume it. And then they want to have sex the way they see these “actors” do it in the movies. I’ve dated men who were clearly addcited to porn. Some couldn’t “function” without porn. Porn ruins a lot of people’s sex lives and marriages–due to overconsumption, addiction and constantly pushing sexual boundaries. There is a big difference between what is ideal and what is actual. Ideally, women want to be sexually liberated in porn. But this never happens in actuality. Because there is no market for that type of porn. Porn is becoming more and more mysogynist each day. It is no wonder that so many women and children are being abducted, raped and killed these days. Porn and many other types of media are pushing this agenda. I don’t care if Beyonce or Posh Spice are real or fake. What they do doesn’t affect me. Sasha Grey is broken; this is why she has that blank, disconnected stare in her eyes. It’s there even in her non-porn movies (I’ve never watched her adult stuff-not interested. But I did see her on Tyra). But atleast she’s making a lot of money from it.

I recently became aware of Sasha Grey from E! News covering her work on “Entourage”. I was curious who she was, so I Googled her name and was deeply disturbed by what I found. I find her to be extremely bright, well spoken and attractive. I do not judge the porn industry and do not have a problem with the people that choose to do porn, for whatever reason that is. Even though, it is completely obvious that majority of the women and men that do porn have emotional and psychological problems and are not completely whole ( Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew is a great anaylsis of this). Anyway, I have never been more turned off by sex than by watching Sasha Grey. I found it to be disgusting and disturbing to women and men. Like many others have posted before, young men and women watch this and think that this is normal and this is how sex is. Young women feel even more pressure to act like a porn star, when majority of men don’t even want a porn star in the bedroom. I really don’t know how to mentally process this…I am speechless.

19 12 2011
Marie

Sasha Grey is not mentally ill. I can tell you right now she is far from it. Sasha Grey knows what she is doing and has chosen to go down this path anyways despite the consequences. That does not make her mentally ill maybe crazy but not mentally ill.

The way I look at if someone wants to prostitute themselves (that’s right because porn is prostitution) then ok but the problem is that 99% of women in the adult industry don’t make it very far in life. Hell most of them don’t even make it far in porn or stripping.
Every whore has an expiration date and one day even Sasha Grey will have to step down. Now what Sasha does outside of porn is another story because I can guarantee you, as mainstream as she wants and tries to be no porn actor/actress will ever truly gain the respect of a legitimate audience.

I just hope for her sake Sasha has saved up some money or invested wisely because I don’t foresee a big break for her in mainstream media. Sure she could always go back to making skin flicks if she must but it’s going to be very difficult for her because at the young age of 23 she has already done it all and everyone knows once you have done everything that there is to do in porn there is nowhere left to go…
