OH FINALLY-BAMZ!!!

On Tuesday Barack Obama made history as the first black man to be appointed President-elect of the US. In the years and months ahead, he will make more history as he tackles unprecedented challenges: two bloody wars, a global financial crisis, the US’s tarnished reputation, domestic security and healthcare reform.

But as the euphoria of his victory gives way to the hard work of transitioning to the White House, we should perhaps pause for a moment to reflect on Obama’s other achievement: his emphatic arrival as the world’s first 21st Century leader.

To jubilant cheers, longtime Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe shook hands with rival Morgan Tsvangirai at the ceremony.

Can Zimbabwe be saved?

President Mugabe, the 84-year-old veteran leader of Zimbabwe since 1980, was also effusive in his talk of unity among former rivals.

“We have to walk and walk the same route,” Mugabe said.

But Mugabe said Britain and the United States must keep out of Zimbabwe’s politics, which he called a “salient principal” that must be observed by the new government.

He accused Britain — “our erstwhile colonial master” — of pushing for regime change because it still had designs on Zimbabwe’s natural resources.

“As we move forward, as long as certain salient principles are recognized, we will find room for agreement,” he said.

Oh Blighty. You ruled the waves, oh yes you did! You killed many, imprisones tonnes, created the country of Austrailia to get read of the working class convicts, abolished the slavery you started and only gave up colonisation of Countries in the 50’s! Phew!

The press are surprised he’s made so much money, why?? The mega rich have not curbed their ways-they aren’ as affected as ANY of us in this. When I say rich-I’m talking ‘I’m worth £500 million plus’, even a little less.
